Live Music
Joining Stand Easy on the outdoor main stage will be the faire's new San Fransisco friends, Culann's Hounds, who had so much fun last year they just had to come back for more. We're happy to welcome them back for another rockin good show.
The Black Irish Band will be on stage as well, with their blend of Irish, Italian, and American folk music, along with sea songs, ethnic pieces, and a number of original pieces.
And of course, Saturday Night, we can rock the evening away with Tempest.

Renaissance Faire
Step back to a time where armored knights traveled the countryside competing for fortune and fame. Sit down
at one of the outdoor stages and enjoy a performance by one of the faire's stage acts - juggling perhaps? Magic? Fire eating?
Browse the faire's vendors and see wares from clothing and jewelry to swords and armor. Then grab a drink and head to the jousting arena, where you'll see
some of the world's top competitors fighting for a piece of the prize purse (and maybe some bragging rights).
Join us this year as we grow into new site with more of everything than last year. More music, more actors,
a bigger village, and of course, hard-hitting, lance-splitting jousting.
About the Faire
The Jousting Championships and Renaissance Faire takes place every September at the Calaveras Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, CA.
The heavy-armor jousting tournament is held over the course of both days, with two heats daily. Between the daily jousts the faire is filled
with music, stages, vendors, food, and drink. This is a family friendly event, "ins and outs" are allowed, and camping is available at the fairgrounds.
The event was brought to life in 2003 by the clowns who host the Calaveras Celtic Faire.
